Bistro des Enfants is a children’s day camp and after-school program for kids spanning kindergarten to grade 4.

We provide children with cooking programs to boost their French language and culinary skills through hands-on exploration.

More than just cooking: To families seeking an educationally-enriching summer program for their children ages 5 - 11; Bistro des Enfants provides a safe and fun learning environment to build practical life skills, confidence, independence, and healthy eating habits to last a lifetime.

Full Day Camp

Summer day camp sessions are one week long, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Each day, lunch is provided and cooked with children.

Environment

Our space is located in Dufferin grove within a child safe former cafe! Students will receive French Language and Culinary instruction in a purpose built space.

Staff

Leanna B. is an Ontario-qualified Primary/Junior Teacher currently employed in the Toronto District School Board and a student of GBCs Vegetarian Culinary Arts Program.

Our Curriculum

  • Throughout this section budding chefs will learn the fundamentals of cooking, from basic kitchen safety to essential techniques. Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, children will sharpen their skills, explore various cooking methods, and enhance their understanding of kitchen tools and equipment.

  • A delightful array of classic favorites, specially crafted to ignite young taste buds and inspire culinary adventures. From cheesy grilled sandwiches to scrumptious snacks, this menu celebrates the joy of simple, delicious creations.

  • This section empowers kids to create tasty dinners from scratch. Under expert guidance, they'll learn essential cooking skills while crafting delicious dishes.

  • This hands-on class sparks creativity and culinary skills, ensuring every child becomes a pizza-making pro. Guided by expert instructors, they'll knead dough, choose toppings, and master the art of baking.

  • Embark on a delicious journey to the sunny Mediterranean coast. Join us for a fun cooking class where kids will whip up tasty dishes that focus on fusion of fresh ingredients, vibrant flavours, and rich traditions.

    We welcome school aged children, 5-11 years old. French immersion experience is encouraged but not required.

  • While cooking is our focus, campers will engage in a variety of activities. There will be outdoor time each day as well as arts and crafts. We will practice French through games and songs.

  • We follow the city of Toronto guidelines for summer camps which can be found here.

  • Lunch is included. Campers are encouraged to bring snacks to supplement our cooking activities.

  • We understand that plans can change, so here's our friendly cancellation policy: If you need to cancel your child's enrollment in our summer day camp, just let us know at least 3 weeks before the start date for a full refund. We're here to make things easy for you!

    Cancelling after 3 weeks will result in a partial refund.
